Spike Jonze's New Online Video: A Skeleton Love Story
It's my job to trick myself into thinking Spike Jonze has directed lots of movies. Actually, the total amount is simply three -- 'Being John Malkovich,' 'Adaptation' and 'Where the Wild The Situation Is.A Possibly that's because of all the non-feature work he's done -- six short films, numerous music videos, and lots of skateboard highlight reels. For his latest project, a short film referred to as 'Mourir Aprés p Toi' (or 'To Die Due To Your Side'), Jonze explores the psyche from the skeleton, who endures the policy of 'Macbeth' inside the famous 'Shakespeare and Company' book store in Paris. The 'Macbeth' skeleton -- who we assume rules Duncan of Scotland, because of the giant knife sticking through his chest -- falls deeply deeply in love with a girl round the cover of 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' (Mina, possibly?). Also concentrating on the short was designer Olympia Le-Tan, who created the figures and aided write the story. "We'd look whatsoever the artwork over lunch after we might be inside the same city, watching any ideas which will just make us smile. It absolutely was done such as this, with no real plans," Jonze told Nowness. You can examine the finished product below. [via indieWIRE] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook
